Privacy Policy — BatteryGuard

This privacy policy applies to the BatteryGuard app (the "Application") for mobile devices, created by Brain Reaction, based in Belgium (the "Service Provider"). This service is provided "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

BatteryGuard monitors your device's battery level in the background and sends you an email alert when the battery drops below a threshold you configure. The Application stores locally on your device: your configured battery threshold, notification preferences, and the email account details (address and credentials) you provide so that the Application can send alerts on your behalf via SMTP. The Application does not collect location data, does not use advertising networks, does not use analytics services, and does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

Your email account credentials are stored only on your device and are used exclusively to send the battery alert emails you configure; they are not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by the Service Provider.

Third Party Access

• Google Play Services — Android app distribution
• Your email provider's SMTP service — used to send the alert emails you configure; governed by your email provider's own privacy policy

The Service Provider does not sell, trade, or otherwise share user data with any other third parties.

Your Rights (GDPR — EU/EEA users)

Because the Service Provider is based in Belgium, EU/EEA users have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be). Because all data is stored only on your device, exercising these rights generally only requires uninstalling the Application; contact us at keersmaekersjan@gmail.com with any questions.

Opt-Out Rights and Data Retention

All data, including stored email credentials, can be removed by uninstalling the Application or by clearing the configured account in the app's settings. No data is stored on the Service Provider's servers.

Security

Email credentials are stored locally on your device and used only to authenticate with your chosen SMTP provider over an encrypted connection. The Service Provider recommends using an app-specific password where your email provider supports it, rather than your main account password.

Children

BatteryGuard is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Note: I assumed BatteryGuard asks the user for their own SMTP/email credentials (per your memory notes: "JavaMail SMTP for email alerts"). If instead BatteryGuard uses a fixed sending account you control, this section needs to be rewritten — that would be a materially different (and more sensitive) data-handling claim.
